These two console tables have the same design as the polished steel and gilt bronze table made in 1763 by the Parisian locksmith and metal worker Pierre Deumier. His originality earned him some prestigious commissions: the architect Victor Louis, responsible for modernizing the Royal Castle in Warsaw, chose Deumier in 1766 to decorate the Monarchs’ Portrait Room, one of the most splendid rooms in the castle.
