A room designed by Georges Hoentschel for the UCAD pavilion at the Exhibition of 1900 was adapted to be installed in the Marsan wing of the Louvre when the Musée des Arts Décoratifs was opened there in 1905.

A room designed by Georges Hoentschel for the UCAD pavilion at the Exhibition of 1900 was adapted to be installed in the Marsan wing of the Louvre when the Musée des Arts Décoratifs was opened there in 1905. The room contains the original wood paneling, display cabinets, table, four armchairs and wall fabric, and also presents works commissioned for the 1900 Exhibition by the UCAD: a painting by Albert Besnard; the sculpture Peace in the Home by Jean Dampt; and the gold and enamel goblet by Lucien Falize.
