The cabinet CloudInChest by Benjamin Graindorge, a graduate of the ENSCI – les Ateliers, was made for Ymer&Malta, a major gallery for high end products. He reinterprets marquetry and pays homage to the crafts in his highly technical creation. Each segment, which is the result of meticulous cutting by marquetry artisans, of nearly 3000 pieces in 16 different types of wood, is arranged to fit the volume and to showcase the material.
