A graduate of the prestigious Design Academy of Eindhoven, Maarten Baas is one of those who disrupt traditional categories. At the Milan Furniture Fair of 2009, he presented Real Time, a series of videos made around counting time, staging actors indicating the time. Arising from this concept, Grandfather Clock is composed of a case and a clockface where a video appears showing a man moving the hands of the clock. The film in this way works as a clock face.
