Philippe Starck’s designs for Daum concentrate on the association of two elements, a horn blown in crystal, poetically called “étrangeté” (“strangeness”) connected by cold sticking against or under a plaque of flat industrial glass. An entire family of objects, vases, vase-tables, was born from this encounter. Developed in several colours and produced in editions of 50 numbered examples small format versions were then created in unlimited series.
