Richard Meitner’s works often use several elements combined in unexpected visual and poetic offerings. Here, four vases are associated with “passe-muraille” fish in wood that has been cut and painted and which seem to be moving between the translucent world of the glass and the opaque one of the support. This playing with rules, frames and limits, manipulated and transgressed with humour, is one of his artistic originalities.
