At the end of the 1950s, the designers Marco Zanuso and Richard Zapper jointly developed objects and furniture in plastic for domestic use. The TS 502, a compact portable radio that is opened like a book, is one of their flagship creations designed for the Italian company Brionvega. Closed, in its colourful casing and its soft corners, it betrays nothing of its function, only the retractable handle remains visible. Opened, it reveals all its technology.
