Thierry Mugler: Couturissime

from 30 September 2021 to 24 April 2022

This Autumn, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs will present a major retrospective exhibition entitled “Thierry Mugler : Couturissime”, dedicated to the acclaimed French artist.

This exhibition will reveal the various universes of this iconic artist as a visionary couturier, stage director, photographer, and perfumer, by revisiting his prêt-à-porter ensembles and haute couture creations. Having staged some of the most spectacular fashion shows in the world, “Thierry Mugler : Couturissime” was first presented in Montreal at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in 2019. This retrospective in Paris will bring together more than 150 creations designed between 1977 and 2015, as well as numerous unpublished archival documents, sketches and photographs and will be exhibited in the recently renovated The Christine and Stephen A. Schwarzman Fashion Galleries of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
