The career of the photographer Jean Collas provides a glimpse of French society between the 1930s and the 1970s. An archetype of the industrial photographer working on commission, Collas offered nearly a half-century of furniture, architecture, interior decoration, events, displays at Salons such as the Salon des Arts Ménagers. The Musée des Arts Décoratifs owns the complete archive of his photographs, thanks to the bequest of his daughter Annick Collas in 1993.
