The desk has rounded fluted uprights and toupie legs. A flap in the upper part opens to reveal four drawers and two compartments; two doors in the lower part conceal four drawers. It is decorated with marquetry featuring flowers in a mosaic of hexagons called “marqueterie à la reine.” The apron is decorated with a bronze frieze of interlacing rosettes and daisies.
