More an artist than a designer, in his creations Yonel Lebovici borrows from everyday objects which he transforms into “functional sculptures” with great technical skill. The rigour of the lines and handling of the folded metal are here used for a chair with a sculptural appearance that evokes a bulldog clip (“Pince”). In addition, the title Pince sans rire (“Deadpan”) reveals the artist’s spirit of mockery.
