The Musée des Arts Décoratifs, in partnership with the Chancellery of Universities of Paris, dedicates an exhibition, from December 13, 2019 to March 15, 2020, to the Marquise Arconati Visconti, a leading figure in patronage and a major donor to museums and universities in France. The awning Arconati-Visconti, an extraordinary patron of the arts retraces destiny exceptional from the one who inherited one of the greatest fortunes Italian and which has left important works to museums including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.

Art objects, furniture, sculptures, paintings but also jewellery and ceramics… It is a total of about a hundred works, resulting from successive donations, and archival documents, which the museum deploys in its collections and which testify to his immoderate passion for the arts from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, including the Renaissance, the 18th century and the 20th century.
