During the 1950s and 1960s, Jean Royère developed his ornamentation using modern materials, marrying unexpected colours. He deformed metal tubing which became a wavy line and the driver of his decorative repertoire, creating in this way an entire range of organic and plant forms. Like a climbing plant, the lamp Liane, of which several models exist, is a veritable formal invention that overtakes the function of giving light.
